My name is Connor Archer and I live in Bangor, ME. I hold my Masters Degree in Business Administration, Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Technology, and have two certificates (one in Marketing Communications, and the other in Digital/Social Media Marketing). I am also the founder & Chairman/CEO of The Courageous Steps Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that strives to help children and young adults with various abilities and challenges in Eastern Maine. The Courageous Steps Project operates the Green House Village Child and Family Center, a program that has been around for over 4 decades.

I also live with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a disability that impacts your language and social skills. However, you wouldn't notice any of that if you were to just meet me. A lot of that is because I had a great support system in my life to get me to where I am today!

And now, I founded my own business, which now offers multiple services, as a way to help future people achieve success in this ever-changing world. I have done this since I was in high school in many areas, and am glad to continue doing the work.

In 2000, when I was 3 years old, I was diagnosed with Low Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). My prognosis at the time was bleak. Many professionals (doctors, therapists, etc.) told my mom I would never talk. It was then through my mom's determination and hard work that I received the absolute best services possible. Thanks to the Green House Nursery School, that dream was possible!

The staff at the Green House provided me with all the services and care that I needed to succeed in life. It truly gave me the start I so needed to move forward in my development. Throughout the rest of my educational years, that start gave me what I needed to succeed. Through life-long friendships and mentorships, I have been able to thrive and prosper.

As I am a young adult now, I am doing all I can to give back where I can. Talking with families, young adults, students, and even children. But I am also doing more than that. Through putting my skills to the test, I am aiming to make a difference for others and to make our world a better place to live in.

I hope you follow me and future blog posts that will take you on my journey going forward!
