My Story, In My Words.

My name is Connor Archer and I live in Bangor, ME. I hold my Masters Degree in Business Administration, Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Technology, and have two certificates (one in Marketing Communications, and the other in Digital/Social Media Marketing). I am also the founder & Chairman/CEO of The Courageous Steps Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that strives to help children and young adults with various abilities and challenges in Eastern Maine. The Courageous Steps Project operates the Step Forward Center, a program ranging from early childhood education/intervention to home and community services.

I also live with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), a disability that impacts your language and social skills. However, you wouldn't notice any of that if you were to just meet me. A lot of that is because I had a great support system in my life to get me to where I am today!

And now, I founded my own business, which now offers multiple services, as a way to help future people achieve success in this ever-changing world. I have done this since I was in high school in many areas, and am glad to continue doing the work.
In 2000, when I was 3 years old, I was diagnosed with Low Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). My prognosis at the time was bleak. Many professionals (doctors, therapists, etc.) told my mom I would never talk. It was then through my mom's determination and hard work that I received the absolute best services possible. Thanks to the Green House Nursery School, that dream was possible!

I was provided with all the services and care that I needed to succeed in life. It truly gave me the start I so needed to move forward in my development. Throughout the rest of my educational years, that start gave me what I needed to succeed. Through life-long friendships and mentorships, I have been able to thrive and prosper.

As I am a young adult now, I am doing all I can to give back where I can. Talking with families, young adults, students, and even children. But I am also doing more than that. Through putting my skills to the test, I am aiming to make a difference for others and to make our world a better place to live in.

I hope you follow me and future blog posts that will take you on my journey going forward!
